Narahari Sastry

Narahari Sastry serves as the Senior Vice Chancellor and CFO at the University of Pittsburgh since October 2018, bringing extensive experience in public policy and resource management. Prior to this role, Narahari worked as the Director of the Office of US Foreign Assistance Resources at the Department of State from October 2014 to October 2018 and held the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary for Resource Management at the US Department of Commerce from May 2011 to October 2014. Additionally, Narahari spent over a decade at the Office of Management and Budget, concluding as Chief of the Veterans Affairs and Defense Health Branch. Narahari holds a Masters in Public Policy with a focus on Health Policy from Georgetown University, a Masters in Public Health specializing in Epidemiology from the University of Illinois Chicago, and a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
