Teresita Schaffer is a distinguished expert with extensive experience in international relations and diplomacy. Currently serving as a Non Resident Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution and a Senior Adviser at McLarty Associates, Teresita also co-founded South Asia Hand. Previously, Teresita was the Director of the South Asia Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and held various roles during a 30-year career with the U.S. Foreign Service, including serving as Director of the Foreign Service Institute. Teresita's academic background includes graduate studies in Economics at Georgetown University and a BA in History from Bryn Mawr College.
