Melanie Simon

Melanie Simon has extensive experience in legal and regulatory roles within Georgia's health sector. Currently serving as General Counsel for the Georgia Department of Community Health since March 2023, Simon previously held the same title at the Georgia Department of Public Health from September 2021 to March 2023. Prior to that, Simon was the Executive Director of Healthcare Facility Regulation at the Georgia Department of Community Health from October 2015 to September 2021. Simon earned a law degree from Emory University School of Law between 1989 and 1992.
