Amit Patel has extensive work experience in various financial roles. Amit started their career as the Controller/Assistant General Manager at Clarion Suites Atlanta Airport, where they oversaw the day-to-day operations and financial activities. Amit then joined VTP Business Management, Inc as a Senior Accountant/Controller/Treasurer, where they had overall authority for the financial operation of the organization. After that, Amit worked at Atlanta Real Estate Development Company, LLC as a Senior Accountant/Controller/Treasurer, where they focused on real estate investments and rental property portfolios. Amit then moved on to Tulsa Real Estate Fund as a Senior Real Estate Financial Analyst, bringing their financial management skills to the first African American-owned and managed Regulation A+ tier two real estate investing crowdfund. Currently, Amit is working at the Georgia Department of Community Affairs as a Principal Accountant - Investments, where they oversee and performs advanced professional accounting duties, including financial analysis and reporting.
Amit Patel, FMVA®, has a diverse education history. Amit obtained their FMVA Certification, CMSA Certification, and CBCA Certification from Corporate Finance Institute® (CFI) in 2020. Prior to that, in 2018, they earned a Paralegal Certificate from Kennesaw State University. Amit also holds a B.S degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix, which they completed in 2010. Amit's educational background includes a B.S. in Finance from Kennesaw State University, where they attended the Michael J. Coles College of Business from 2003 to 2006. Additionally, they have acquired various certifications from CFI and edX, focusing on topics such as financial modeling, valuation, accounting fundamentals, and more.
