Martha Harrell has extensive experience in educational services, currently serving as the Vice President of Educational Services at the Georgia Hospital Association since January 1991. Prior roles include Associate at Carpax Associates, focusing on marketing for the floor covering industry from 1988 to 1991, and Area Director and Staff Associate at Young Life from 1979 to 1988. Martha also held positions as Associate of Education at Coventry Cathedral (1977-1979) and Bank Teller at Decatur Federal Savings and Loan (1976-1977). Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from The University of Georgia, attended from 1974 to 1976, along with foundational education at W. F. Dykes High School.

Founded in 1929, GHA serves more than 150 hospitals in Georgia and promotes the health and welfare of the public through the development of better hospital care for all Georgia’s citizens. The mission of GHA is to advance the health of individuals and communities by serving as the leading advocate for all Georgia hospitals and health care systems. GHA represents its members before the General Assembly and Congress, as well as state and federal regulatory agencies, and is an allied member of the American Hospital Association.
