Danette Joslyn-Gaul is the current General Counsel & VP of Ethics, Compliance & Legal Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Danette has held this position since 2003.

Danette has a long history of working in government and public service. Danette served as the first-ever General Counsel for the Georgia Technology Authority from 2000 to 2003. In this role, they oversaw the authority's government relations and was a key participant in the development of bid, documentation, and proposed contracts for the $1.8 billion consolidation of all communications under a single provider.

Danette also designed and implemented GTA's anticorruption effort—a new vendor registry to identify conflicts of interests, lobbyists, and other ethical concerns which were not covered under state's lobbyist disclosure laws. To accomplish this, they partnered with the state Attorney General's Office on compliance with new public disclosures allowing digital access of laws, regulations, and other government documents.

Since taking on their current role at Georgia Tech, Danette has been instrumental in developing the institution's ethics and compliance program. Danette has also served as a faculty member for the Georgia Tech School of Public Policy, teaching courses on technology law and policy.
