Suresh Marru

Suresh Marru currently serves as the Director of the Center for ARTificial Intelligence in Science And eNgineering (ARTISAN) at Georgia Institute of Technology, a role held since August 2023, where the focus is on advancing scientific efforts through AI and cyberinfrastructure. In addition, Suresh holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at Folia, leading technological strategy and innovation for an AI-driven annotation platform. With extensive experience at The Apache Software Foundation, Suresh is the Vice President of Apache Airavata and has contributed as a member of multiple project management committees. Previously, Suresh served as Deputy Director and Chief Architect at Indiana University Bloomington's Cyberinfrastructure Integration Research Center, directing the Science Gateway Program for XSEDE. Early career includes roles at CAPS, University of Oklahoma, and Tata Consultancy Services. Suresh holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Osmania University and has further education from the University of Oklahoma.
