Maureen Doherty

Maureen Doherty has extensive experience in arts and education, particularly in visitor services and studio assistance. Currently serving as the Gifts & Records Administrator and Visitor Services Lead at the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum since August 2022, Maureen manages team scheduling and communication. Previous roles include Studio Assistant at the Hands On Children's Museum, where work involved fostering a safe learning environment, and Visitor Services at the Tacoma Art Museum, engaging the community through culturally themed exhibitions. Earlier positions at the Hands On Children's Museum and the University of New Mexico Art Museum provided opportunities to support children's creative expression and assist students in their artistic endeavors. Maureen holds a Bachelor's degree in Art/Art Studies from the University of New Mexico.
