David Patterson

David Patterson has extensive experience in media production, education, and audio engineering spanning several decades. Since 1980, Patterson has operated as a freelance media producer through RTF Communications, delivering services for commercial clients and Georgia Public Broadcasting. As a faculty member at Oglethorpe University since 2004, Patterson teaches photography, video, and documentary film courses. Concurrently, Patterson has provided audio engineering services to Georgia Public Television since 1983. Previous roles include journalism faculty at the University of Georgia, paramedic/cardiac technician at Metro Ambulance, and various positions in radio and television news, including notable companies such as WSB-TV and WAGA-TV. Patterson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a focus on Broadcasting from The University of Georgia.
