Mandy Wilson

Mandy Wilson has over 20 years of experience in marketing, communications, and media relations. Mandy started their career in 1991 as a Media Relations Manager for The Country Music Association, where they were responsible for generating national and international media coverage for CMA events. Mandy also served as an editor and feature writer for various publications. In 1994, Mandy worked as a Publicist for Country Music Television (CMT), securing media coverage and developing press kit materials for CMT and its sister network, TNN. Since 2000, they have been working as the Director of Communications for Georgia Public Broadcasting, overseeing marketing, communications, and social media initiatives for this statewide public media company. Mandy has collaborated with various stakeholders to plan and implement promotion for GPB programming, including PBS, NPR, and GPB Original Productions. Major achievements include spearheading the launch of GPB's first digital magazine.

Mandy Wilson pursued their education starting in 1986 at Belmont University, where they studied Broadcasting/Music Business until 1989. Mandy then attended Middle Tennessee State University from 1989 to 1991, successfully earning a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Radio and Television/Broadcast Journalism. In addition to their formal education, Mandy Wilson obtained a certification in Fundamentals of Digital Marketing from Google in October 2020.
