Wayne Drash

Wayne Drash is an accomplished journalist and editor with extensive experience in various roles across prominent media companies. Currently serving as the Cross Platform Managing Editor at Georgia Public Broadcasting since June 2020, Wayne leads initiatives to enhance GPB News's reach and quality, focusing on public policy. Wayne authored the book "On These Courts," documenting Penny Hardaway's impactful work with at-risk youth, and has engaged in numerous media interviews to promote the work. Wayne's tenure at CNN from 1996 to 2019 included roles such as Senior Producer and Writer, where complex health issues were covered and innovative digital content was developed, significantly enhancing audience engagement. Wayne holds a Master of Arts in Professional Journalism from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Washington University in St. Louis.
