Nicolle Parsons-Pollard is the Interim Provost & SVP, Academic Affairs at Georgia State University. Nicolle previously served as the Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs, Professor of Criminal Justice (tenured) at Monmouth University from January 2016 to July 2020. In this role, they oversaw the University’s promotion, tenure, and continuance process as well as developing university-wide initiatives to attract and retain a highly qualified and diverse faculty, such as spearheading the President’s Advisory Council on Diversity and Inclusion.

Parsons-Pollard was also an ACE Fellow at James Madison University from August 2014 to July 2015. In this role, they worked with the President and senior leadership team on strategic planning and budgeting, accreditation, and diversity initiatives.

Prior to their role at Monmouth University, Parsons-Pollard served as the Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Operations at Virginia State University from August 2007 to January 2016. In this role, they were responsible for academic scheduling, classroom assignments, and faculty workloads. Nicolle also oversaw the development and implementation of the university’s academic master plan.

Parsons-Pollard began their career as an Assistant Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University from January 2005 to August 2007. Nicolle taught courses in criminology, criminal justice, and research methods.

Nicolle Parsons-Pollard holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, as well as a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the same institution. Nicolle also attended Kenwood Academy High School.
