Cade Smith has worked as a Transmission Operations Engineer at Georgia System Operations Corporation starting in May 2022. Prior to that, they were a Distribution Design Technician at CAPPSTONE ENERGY GROUP, LLC from April 2019 to May 2022. Before that, they held the same role at TRC Companies, Inc. from November 2017 to April 2019.
Cade Smith completed their high school education at King's Way Christian School, graduating with a High School Diploma in 2017. Cade then pursued further studies in the field of Engineering, initially attending Georgia Highlands College from 2018 to 2019, specializing in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Cade subsequently transferred to Kennesaw State University - Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from 2019 to 2022.
In addition to their formal education, Cade obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. In June 2022, they received the Georgia Transmission ITS Qualified Operator Certification from the Georgia Transmission Corporation. Cade also obtained the Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the Georgia System Operations Corporation during the same period.
