Network Operations Center Operator/Technician at GEORGIA SYSTEM OPERATIONS CORPORATION

Michael Bessard has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michael began their career in 2002 at Bellsouth as a Tier 2 Tech Support representative, providing technical assistance. In 2006, they transitioned to KONE as an Elevator Mechanic Apprentice before joining MAStec Consulting, Inc. as a Lead Installer in 2010.

In 2012, Michael joined AT&T Global Services as a Senior Specialist-Network Support. Their responsibilities included troubleshooting Cisco Telepresence Units, implementing SIP and H323 global voice environments, and installing/configuring Cisco routers and switches. Michael also provided support for interop and CTS endpoints.

After their time at AT&T, Michael worked at Sprint as a Network Operations Center Technician, focusing on troubleshooting and resolving network issues. In 2020, they joined Lumen Technologies as an NG911 NOC Technician II, where they continued their network operations center work until 2022.

Currently, Michael is employed at Georgia System Operations Corporation as a Network Operations Center Operator/Technician, where they utilize their skills and experience to ensure the smooth functioning of network operations.

Michael Bessard completed their Applied Associates in Science degree in Computer Networking and Information Technology at High Tech Institute from 2000 to 2002. Michael then pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science degree with a specialization in Information Security at Southern New Hampshire University, which they completed from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Michael is enrolled at Clayton State University, where they are expected to graduate in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
