Aaron Hammond

First-principles Engineer, Architect at Geoscience Australia

Aaron Hammond has a background in physics and spatial studies. Aaron began their career at the University of Newcastle as a Postgraduate Researcher, where they focused on developing and analyzing robust positioning stages for atomic force microscopy applications. Aaron then worked at Orbital Engine Corporation as a Control Systems Engineer, designing microcontroller-based engine controller units for small aircraft. Aaron then joined ExBlocks as a Research and Development Engineer, where they developed access-control products for the oil and gas industry. Following that, they worked at Advanced Navigation as an Embedded Systems Engineer, where they developed precision GPS and inertial navigation systems. Currently, Aaron is working at Geoscience Australia as a First-Principles Engineer, developing precision positioning software for use with the GNSS.

From 2005 to 2010, Aaron Hammond studied at the University of Newcastle. During this period, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree, focusing on Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering.
