Dr Caroline Ladewig

Dr Caroline Ladewig has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Dr Caroline is currently working as the Manager Strategic Governance at Geoscience Australia since August 2022. Before this, they worked as a Senior Management Consultant at Grosvenor Performance Group from July 2018.

In 2018, they also worked as a Researcher at the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth. During their time there, they conducted qualitative research to understand the needs and aspirations of young people, specifically those aged 15-18, in relation to their significant adults. This involved extensive travel across Australia, conducting focus groups with diverse young people, including First Nations communities and vulnerable youth.

Prior to that, they were a Sessional Academic at Charles Sturt University from July 2017 to November 2017. Dr Caroline also pursued their PhD at the Australian National University from January 2014 to an unspecified end date in 2017.

Dr Ladewig has also held leadership positions in the education sector. Dr Caroline was the Head of Faculty - Humanities at St Clare's College from January 2011 to December 2013, where they successfully transformed the faculty into a collaborative and high-performing team. Dr Caroline also served as the Head of Faculty at St Patrick's Senior College from January 2008 to December 2010 and as the Head of English & Languages at Whitsunday Anglican School from January 2002 to December 2006.

Dr Caroline Ladewig completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and German Language at The University of Queensland. Dr Caroline then pursued a Master's degree in Cultural Anthropology at the University of New England from 2007 to 2010. After that, they enrolled at The Australian National University, where they earned their Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Cultural Studies/Critical Theory and Analysis between 2014 and 2017. In addition to their PhD, they also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Leadership and Innovation from the University of Canberra - Ducere Business School.
