Jenna Guffogg

Jenna Guffogg, PhD, is an experienced Earth Observation Scientist currently engaged with Geoscience Australia since January 2025. Prior to this role, Jenna held positions as a Senior Remote Sensing Data Scientist and Remote Sensing Scientist at Sensand from June 2022 to January 2025. Jenna's academic background includes a double-badge PhD in Remote Sensing from RMIT University and the University of Twente, where research focused on using VNIR-SWIR spectral remote sensing tools for detecting plastic debris on remote beaches. Jenna has experience as a Remote Sensing Tutor at RMIT University, a Research Assistant, and a Remote Sensing Consultant for Parks Victoria, along with experience working as a Junior Geologist at Platina Resources and gaining an Honours degree in Geoscience from Monash University.
