Simon van der Wielen

Simon van der Wielen has several years of work experience in the field of geoscience. Simon started their career as a Research Geoscientist at Geoscience Australia in 2004 and worked in this role until 2011. Simon then joined the University of Adelaide as a Senior Research Scientist from May 2011 to September 2016. In 2017, they returned to Geoscience Australia as a Data Scientist, where they are currently employed.

Simon van der Wielen completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) in Applied Geology from the University of South Australia, from 1995 to 2000. Following that, from 2001 to 2004, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences at The University of Western Australia.
