Stacy Horton has a wide range of experience in various roles within the technology industry. Stacy currently works as a Cloud Engineer at Geoscience Australia. Prior to this, they were a DevOps Lead at the Australian Taxation Office from January 2020 to September 2021. Stacy also held the positions of DevOps Lead at Forwood Safety from October 2016 to May 2019. Stacy has a background in managing directorship and technical leadership roles, having served as the Managing Director at BMC Networks from 1998 to 2018 and as the Technical Director at Cloud Manager Inc from August 2013 to September 2016. In addition, they have experience as a Lead Developer and Senior Web Developer, working on projects that involved continuous integration, automated deployments, and utilizing AWS services for infrastructure. Stacy's earlier roles include Lead Analyst Programmer at ROARZ Computing from July 2009 to March 2010 and Analyst Programmer at RIM Securities from July 2008 to May 2009.
Stacy Horton started their education journey in 1990 at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Computer Science. Stacy attended QUT for one year, completing their studies in 1991.
In addition to their formal education, Stacy obtained several certifications throughout their career. In November 2013, they achieved the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate Level certification from Amazon Web Services. In the same year, in June 2013, Stacy became a Certified Scrum Master through Scrum Alliance. Furthermore, in October 1999, they obtained the Advanced Border Gateway Protocol Configuration certification from Cisco / Global Knowledge Network.
