Steve Hill

Steve Hill is currently the Chief Scientist at Geoscience Australia, where Steve also serves as the Acting Chief of the Place & Communities Division. Prior to this, Steve held the role of South Australian Chief Government Geologist / Director at the Geological Survey of South Australia. Steve has a strong background in geology, with a Doctor of Philosophy from The Australian National University and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Melbourne. Steve has also held various academic positions, including Senior Lecturer at the University of Adelaide and Lecturer at the University of Canberra. Steve has extensive experience in the field of geoscience and has been actively involved in education and training programs in the industry.
