Trent Kershaw has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Trent began their career in 2002 in private industry, where they served as an ICT Sales and Service Desk Manager until December 2005. Trent then became the Director of Marketing and Technology until 2007. From 2006 to 2008, they worked for the Australian Government as an Information Architect and later as a Project Manager.
In 2008, Trent joined Geoscience Australia, where they held multiple roles over the years. Trent started as an ICT Programme Manager and later became the Manager of Business Analysis & Architecture. From 2012 to 2014, they served as the ICT Portfolio Delivery Manager and then as the ICT Programme Manager again until 2016. In 2016, they became the Agile Program Manager and subsequently the Program Manager for the Australian Geoscience Data Cube.
From 2017 to 2018, Trent served as the Director of Program Delivery - Digital Earth Australia at Geoscience Australia. In 2018, they took on the role of Program Director for Digital Earth Australia. Most recently, Trent has been working at Geoscience Australia as the Director of Business Development, a position they have held since April 2021.
Throughout their career, Trent has demonstrated a strong background in technology, project management, and leadership roles in both government and private industry.
Trent Kershaw attended the University of Canberra from 2001 to 2003 but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. In addition to their university education, Trent also holds certifications in Managing Successful Programmes from the Office of Government Commerce and Prince2 Practitioner from the same institution.
