Fida Abu Libdeh has been active in various roles in the Icelandic business and academic world since 2012. From 2012 to 2017, they served as Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of GeoSilica Iceland, where they lead a powerful and determined team in the development of the company's production method GeoStep ®, set up marketing research for the first product market entry, and put up a quality control system. In 2017, they became a Board Member of the Federation of Icelandic Startup Companies and Chairman of the Board in 2022 for FKA - Félag Kvenna í Atvinnulífinu- FKA Suðurnes. In 2021, they were appointed Board Member of UN Women Ísland. In 2018, they became a Skólaráð at Háleitisskóla and in 2020, they were a Startup Mentor at AWE Iceland. Finally, in 2017, they were a Board Member of Nýsköpunarnefnd at FKA - Félag Kvenna í Atvinnulífinu.
Fida Abu Libdeh obtained a Matriculation examination in Business and Economic from Keilir in 2007-2008. They then obtained an Engineer's degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering Technology from Háskóli Íslands in 2009-2012. In 2012-present, they are currently obtaining a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Natural resource sciences from Háskólinn á Akureyri. Finally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from Reykjavik University in 2013-2015, and received the MBA Class of 2015 certification from the same institution in June 2015.
