Andy Hanes

Andy Hanes is the Vice President at Geospatial Consulting Group International. Andy has over 20 years of experience in the field of GIS.

Andy started their career as a GIS Analyst for the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) in October 1991. Andy then moved on to the County of San Diego where they worked as a Planner from June 1989 to October 1991. In January 1992, they began working as a GIS Analyst for Ogden Environmental where they worked on various environmental projects. Andy then joined ESRI in January 1997 as the Release Manager for the ArcInfo and ArcIMS products. Andy supported multiple platforms including Sun, Linux, and Windows. Andy coordinated build testing, release testing, and product documentation. Andy also supported I18N, L10N, and QA/QC for ArcIMS. In January 2001, they left ESRI to join TAIC as the GIS Business Area Manager. Andy assisted the USMC in the development of the GEOFidelis Program and managed BRAC IVT effort for the USMC. Andy also authored policy, procedures, and standards. Andy left TAIC in December 2006 and joined Geospatial Consulting Group International in 2007 where they are currently serving as the Vice President.

Andy Hanes has a BS in Geography from Salem State University and a certification from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) in GISP. Andy also has a certification from CompTIA in Security+.

Andy Hanes works with Adam Campbell - Director, Operations, Nathan Russell - Director, IT, and PG Katsourakis - Director, Programs. Andy Hanes reports to Julie Christie, President.
