Emmy Apostol is a Project Scientist at Geosyntec Consultants, specializing in water quality, treatment, and management strategies for complex mining sites since April 2018. Prior to this role, Emmy served as a Senior Staff Scientist and Graduate Research Assistant at the Colorado School of Mines from September 2016 to December 2017, focusing on membrane design systems under funding from the Geothermal Office at NREL. Emmy's earlier experience includes managing a WET laboratory at SeaCrest Group as an Aquatic Toxicologist from March 2013 to January 2016, overseeing training, reporting, and quality audits. Emmy holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines (2016-2017) and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences with a focus on Water Resources from the University of Vermont (2008-2012). Additionally, Emmy studied at the University of Otago in 2011 and attended Brooks School from 2005 to 2008.
