Maral Malekian

Maral Malekian, Ph.D., A.M.ASCE, is a professional with extensive experience in geotechnical engineering. Currently employed at Geosyntec Consultants since August 2024, Maral has previously served as a Project Manager at EARTH SYSTEMS from February 2023 to August 2024 and held a faculty position at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) during the same period. Earlier experience includes working as a Geomechanical Engineer at Freeport-McMoRan from February 2018 to July 2019. Maral earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Arizona (2019-2022) and a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (2015-2017), complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology (2008-2012).
