Shailendra Singh

Shailendra Singh, PhD, PE, CFM, is a Senior Staff Professional at Geosyntec Consultants since November 2021. Prior to this role, Shailendra served as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from January 2017 to December 2021 and worked as a Graduate Employee at the Illinois State Water Survey during two separate periods in 2018-2019 and 2021. Shailendra gained experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at South Dakota State University from August 2014 to December 2016 and also worked as a Water Resources Engineer for the Department of Irrigation in Nepal for three years. Earlier career roles include Regional Engineer at IDE – International Development Enterprises Nepal, Consultant Irrigation Engineer at ECARDS Nepal, and Young Researcher at IUCN. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master's degree in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering from South Dakota State University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Agricultural Engineering from Tribhuvan University.
