Jan P. Grimnes

Jan P. Grimnes is a business executive with a background in engineering who has held leadership, board, and advisory roles across energy, software, and related industries. They currently serve as CEO of Adrega AS and as chairman of the board at Geoteric, with ongoing advisory work at Redback AS. Their past roles include founder and CEO of Technoguide (1996–2002), CEO of Geomatic (later Roxar Software) (1993–1996), and reservoir engineer at Norsk Hydro (1986–1990) and Saga Petroleum (1990–1993), as well as Petrel Portfolio Manager at Schlumberger (2002–2005); they were Chairman of the Board at Argeo from 2020 to 2025. They earned Master’s Degrees from the Norwegian School of Economics (1986–1990) and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (1980–1984), and completed studies at the Norwegian Royal Engineers in 1985.
