Katie H.

Katie H. has had extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Katie started their career as a Shift Manager at Family Video in 1999, where they worked until 2003. Katie then became a Shift Manager at Family Video Movie Club until 2006, where they demonstrated leadership skills and maintained positive customer and employee relations. Katie then transitioned to Blockbuster as a Store Manager from 2003 to 2006. Katie worked with the public and effectively coached and led employees to efficiently run shifts. In 2006, they joined Alcoa Howmet as a Wax Team Operator/Shipper until 2012. In this role, they multitasked, operated machinery, assembled wax molds, and was a Cell Support Leader. Katie then worked at RTI International Metals as a Human Resource Assistant from 2012 to 2013, while also serving as an Executive Administrative Assistant. Their responsibilities included providing administrative support and assisting with various HR tasks. From 2013 to 2015, Katie took a break from their career to be a Stay at Home Mom. Katie re-entered the workforce in 2015 as a Human Resources Assistant at Leprino Foods, where they served until 2017. In this role, they provided support to the HR department. Later in 2017, Katie joined Family Farm & Home as an HR professional, handling HR responsibilities for six months. Most recently, they have been working at Gerber Life Insurance Company as an HR Recruiter since 2017, and then took on the role of a Human Resources Generalist from June 2018. Throughout their work experience, Katie has developed strong skills in HR, leadership, customer service, and multitasking.

Katie H. completed an Associate's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Muskegon Community College between 2007 and 2009. Katie then went on to study at Baker College of Muskegon, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration/Business Administration from 2009 to 2011. During their time at Baker College, Katie also completed an internship at Goodwill Industries of West Michigan in 2011.
