Hamza Jap-Tjong

Hamza Jap-Tjong has extensive work experience spanning multiple industries. Hamza started their career as a Junior Consultant at Erasmus MC, where they maintained, updated, and verified the DBC registry. Hamza then moved on to Groupon as a Sales Manager before interning at New Compliance. Hamza then joined the team at Erasmus University Rotterdam as a Data Analyst.

In 2011, Hamza became a Consultant at Careffect, where they provided financial advice and support to healthcare organizations. Hamza then co-founded MyDetails in 2015 and served as the CTO, developing a platform for sending unique and interactive business cards.

Hamza joined CED - European claim experts in 2014, initially as a Product Development Manager, managing key innovation projects. Hamza later became the Manager ZorgRegres a.i., responsible for the implementation of new products in the Health Claims Recourse division. Additionally, they successfully improved team spirit, motivation, operational workflow, and efficiency. Finally, they took on the role of Corporate Strategist & Business Developer at CED.

In 2016, Hamza co-founded InsurTech Holland, a community promoting and assisting insurance innovation. Hamza served as the Co-Founder until 2019. Most recently, Hamza held the position of Head of BI & Data Analytics at GeriMedica, where they established and led the BI department, contributing to increased revenue and profit margins through the implementation of data analytics solutions.

Hamza Jap-Tjong has a diverse educational background. Hamza started their education at Sint Laurens College, where they obtained a VWO degree in Natuur & Gezondheid in 2006. Following that, they attended Erasmus University Rotterdam from 2006 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Health Policy Management.

After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at Erasmus University Rotterdam and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Health Economics from 2010 to 2012. During this time, they also obtained a certification in Prince2 Foundation from Symbision in March 2012.

In 2017, Hamza attended Nyenrode Business University for executive education focused on New Product Development & Innovation. Lastly, in 2021, they attended IIR Netherlands to complete an Executive Course in Data Management, specifically the Chief Data Officer program.
