Matthias Kasel is a software developer and data manager currently working at the Deutsches Zentrum für Neurodegenerative Erkrankungen (DZNE) since August 2022. Previous experience includes a master thesis at Deutsche Gesetzliche Unfallversicherung e.V. focused on developing algorithms for presence detection using UWB radar data, as well as a role as a student assistant at Universitätsklinikum Bonn concentrating on data science with Python. Additionally, Matthias conducted a bachelor thesis on the evaluation and implementation of an inertial measurement system for remote sensing at Hochschule Koblenz. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences Koblenz, complemented by an Abitur from Aloisiuskolleg.
