Alexandra Runge

Alexandra Runge is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Helmholtz-Centre Potsdam - German Research Centre GFZ since June 2023, having previously held the same title at the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research from November 2017 to May 2023. Alexandra's professional background includes a role as a Junior Production Engineer at Aerodata International Surveys from August 2015 to June 2017 and a trainee position at UAG Kiel, where responsibilities included environmental assessments and mapping. Prior training was completed at the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research in the Hydrogeology Department, focusing on river water quality assessment. Alexandra holds multiple Master of Science degrees in Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation from institutions including the University of Southampton and the University of Sydney, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Kiel University.
