Jordi Barretina Ginesta

Jordi Barretina serves as the Director and CEO of Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) since October 2020. Prior to this role, Jordi held the position of Director and CEO at Fundació Institut d'Investigació Biomèdica de Girona (IDIBGI) from February 2017 to October 2020. Jordi's experience also includes serving as Lab Head and Research Investigator at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research from September 2011 to January 2017, and as a Research Scientist in the Cancer Program at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard from June 2008 to September 2011. Earlier in their career, Jordi worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Medical Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School from April 2005 to May 2008. Jordi holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a BSc in the same field, both obtained from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona between 1996 and 2004.
