Chandra Pamulapati

Chandra Pamulapati has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of clinical pharmacology. Most recently, they held the position of Senior Director Clinical Pharmacology at Geron Corporation starting in 2022. Prior to that, Chandra worked at Kyowa Kirin as the Director of Clinical Pharmacology from 2020 to 2022. From 2013 to 2020, they worked at Boehringer Ingelheim as the Director of Clinical Pharmacology, where they were responsible for designing and executing the clinical pharmacokinetic/-dynamic (PK/PD) development strategy. Chandra also represented the Department of Translational Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology in various teams and authored the clinical PK/PD section in official and submission documents, maintaining communication with regulatory agencies.

From 2007 to 2013, Chandra served as a Principal Scientist at Roche, where they were a DMPK project leader and provided scientific and strategic advice on DMPK aspects of drug development to project teams and management. They also represented the department and/or company in regulatory agency meetings. Prior to Roche, Chandra worked at Pfizer (formerly Wyeth) as a Senior Research Scientist from 2004 to 2007, overseeing pre-clinical pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic experiments for development candidate drugs.

Chandra's career began at UI Pharmaceuticals in 1999, where they worked as a Research Associate. In this role, they developed and validated analytical methodologies for drug substances and finished products for clinical supplies, as well as performed testing for various drug products based on USP and in-house methods.

Chandra Pamulapati earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree in Pharmacy from Andhra University in 1997. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Pharmacokinetics from the University of Iowa, completing it in 2004.
