Frank Andel

Frank Andel is an accomplished professional in analytical sciences and process development with extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Senior Director of Analytical Sciences at Geron Corporation, Frank oversees GMP compliance and quality standards for oligonucleotide APIs while leading analytical testing development and quality control functions. Prior roles include Senior Director of Analytical Development at Codexis, Associate Director at Boehringer Ingelheim, and Director of Process and Analytical Chemistry at Bolt Threads, where Frank led cross-functional teams, developed regulatory compliance strategies, and implemented improvements in method validation and product development. Frank holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as an MS and BS in Chemistry from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.
