Margarita Tzivaki, Ph.D., is a highly experienced staff scientist in the Decommissioning and Storage Department at Gesellschaft für Anlagen- und Reaktorsicherheit gGmbH, specializing in nuclear waste handling and storage. Previously, Tzivaki worked as a Health Physicist and Environmental Modeler at EcoMetrix Incorporated, focusing on radiation protection calculations and environmental risk assessments for various industries. Tzivaki's expertise was further developed during a consultancy at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), where complex calculations for radiological emergencies were reviewed. With a strong academic background, including a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Ontario Tech University and a diploma in Health/Medical Physics from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Tzivaki has also contributed to teaching and research in radiation detection and protection.
