Journi Prewitt is an experienced educator and entrepreneur currently serving as a Teaching Assistant at Gestalt Community Schools since January 2021. In addition, Journi Prewitt is the Founder and CEO of Black Butterfly Beautiful, a subscription box service launched in January 2017 that aims to empower and uplift young people of color by providing curated monthly boxes with books, products from black-owned businesses, and resources to address underrepresentation and celebrate black history. Journi Prewitt gained experience as an Education Intern at Gestalt Community Schools in the summer of 2020 and holds a degree from The University of Memphis, completed in 2022, after graduating from Power Center Academy High School in 2018.
