Malin Berthold has a wealth of experience in the life sciences industry. Malin began their career in 1997 as a PostDoc at the Karolinska Institute, followed by a PostDoc at Pharmacia in 1999. From 2001 to 2008, they worked for Sobi - Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (publ), where they held the roles of Associate Director In Vitro Biology, Manager Receptor Pharmacology, Manager and Project Leader of the Molecular Pharmacology group, and Scientist. In 2008, they founded and became a partner of Meira Life Science AB, where they served as COB and CEO. From 2011 to 2019, they were employed by Thermo Fisher Scientific, where they held the roles of Senior Scientific Advisor, ImmunoDiagnostics, Global Scientific and Medical Affairs and Scientific Advisor, ImmunoDiagnostics, Global Marketing. Most recently, they have been working as a Pre-Clinical Project Manager for Gesynta Pharma AB since 2021.
Malin Berthold began their educational career at Djursholms Samskola from 1979 to 1982. Malin then attended Stockholm University from 1986 to 1989, where they obtained their B.Sci. in Biology and Biochemistry. Malin continued their studies at Stockholm University and obtained their Ph.D. in Neurochemistry in 1997. Following this, they completed a Post Doc at Karolinska Institutet in Molecular Neurobiology from 1997 to 1999.
