Kwan Hong Lee has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. In 2012, they served as a Technology Director at Redstar Ventures, where they provided strategic guidance and managed developers and designers. During their tenure, they developed a social recommendation algorithm and messaging architecture for LoopIt. From 2013 to 2014, Kwan Hong Lee worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at POSTECH University, where they proposed research and received funding for cultivating innovators in education. Kwan Hong also advised students on their research projects and initiated a summer internship program. Kwan Hong Lee then joined OpenView Venture Partners in 2014 as a Software Architect until 2017. Kwan Hong contributed to the development and management of software architecture. In 2017, they became the CTO at FineTune and held the position until 2020. Kwan Hong led the technology team and was responsible for the company's technical direction. From 2018 to 2022, Kwan Hong Lee served as an Advisor at ADL Ventures and FuturePlay, assisting with their strategic decision-making. Kwan Hong also worked as an Investor at AltoIRA in 2019. Subsequently, they joined EverQuote in 2020 as an Executive Vice President of Engineering until 2022. Kwan Hong led the engineering department in driving innovation and achieving organizational goals. In 2022, they became the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Saks OFF 5TH, where they oversaw the engineering operations. Currently, Kwan Hong Lee is working at Lasso MD as the Chief Technology Officer, a role they assumed in 2023.

Kwan Hong Lee has pursued higher education in the field of Computer Science. Kwan Hong completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from Cornell University. Afterwards, they went on to earn a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Computer Science from the same institution. Kwan Hong further continued their education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they completed a Master of Science (S.M.) degree in Media Arts and Sciences. Lastly, Kwan Hong Lee pursued a Ph.D. degree in Media Arts and Sciences from MIT.
