Chief Marketing Officer at getAbstract

Patricia Dietrich has held several roles throughout their work experience. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Student Research Assistant at the Max Planck Institutes Tübingen. Patricia then worked as a Student Research Assistant at the Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research from 2005 to 2008. Patricia continued their research career as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Research Scholar, and Researcher at the University of Zurich from 2010 to 2015. Following their research positions, they worked as a Teacher at Diverse Schools from 2015 to 2017. Patricia then transitioned into the marketing field, starting as a Digital Marketing Manager & Writer from 2016 to 2017. Patricia later held the position of Head of Marketing at getAbstract from 2018 to 2019. Patricia then advanced to the role of Global Head of Marketing at getAbstract from 2020 to 2023. Currently, they serve as the Chief Marketing Officer at getAbstract, a position they have held since March 2023.

Patricia Dietrich completed their education in a chronological order. Patricia obtained a Master's degree in Neuroscience from the University of Tübingen, Germany, from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics from the same institution from 2005 to 2008. In earlier years, they pursued pregraduate studies in Chemistry at Universidad de los Andes in Venezuela, from 2002 to 2004.

In addition to their academic degrees, Patricia also obtained certifications in adult learning. Patricia obtained the European Certificate in Language Teaching to Adults (EUROLTA) from the International Certificate Conference - The International Language Association e.V. in 2017. Patricia also obtained the SVEB Trainer Certificate for Adult Learning from the Swiss Federation for Adult Learning (SVEB/FSEA) in the same year.
