Alex Witherspoon

Alex Witherspoon is currently an advisor at Edify. Alex was previously the technology, engineering, product, and design leadership at Smile.io from March 2021 to June 2022. Before that, they were the engineering leadership at GitHub from June 2018 to March 2021. Alex has also been a senior solutions architect at Presidio from July 2012 to March 2014, and a VMware solution consultant at NetApp from April 2012 to May 2012. Alex started their career as an R&D network engineer at ADP Dealer Services from December 2008 to July 2012.

Alex Witherspoon has a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management from Devry University Online. Alex also has a Computer Engineering degree from Portland State University with a focus in Business Management, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, and Math. Additionally, Alex is certified by Cisco Systems Inc in Cisco Data Center Architecture Design Specialist, Cisco Data Center Network Infrastructure Design (DCNID), Cisco Data Center Storage Networking Design Specialist (DCSNS), and Cisco Unified Computing Technology Design Specialist (DCUCD). Lastly, they are certified by VMware inc as a VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
