Marquis (MarQ) Akins has a diverse work experience in talent acquisition and recruitment. Marquis (MarQ) started their career at LeEco US as a Technical Recruiter and Project Manager, where they focused on improving the client and candidate experience. Marquis (MarQ) then joined Aquent as a Creative Recruiting Agent and Project Manager, further honing their skills in client advocacy and process improvement. At Square, they served as a Diversity Technical Recruiter, responsible for sourcing diverse talent and building positive relationships with passive candidates. Marquis (MarQ) continued their talent acquisition journey at Carvana as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist and Team Lead, leading a team of 5 and defining sourcing strategies for success. Currently, MarQ is working at Epic for Kids as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, where they build a diverse candidate pipeline and communicates with clients to understand their needs.
