Content Specialist at Genea

Zev Blumenfeld has held various roles in the media and education industries since 2009. In 2009, they were a Team Leader and AmeriCorps Member for Jumpstart, where they led a group of peers to implement course material in preschool classrooms, worked with parents and teachers to plan events, and designed materials and creative ways to connect with students. From 2010 to 2015, they held the role of Video Coordinator and Marketing Assistant at American Program Bureau, where they revamped the workflow in the video department, collaborated and took notes from the Marketing Department to create sizzle reels, and developed and edited video packages for agents to promote speakers. In 2015, they were an English Foreign Language Teacher at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and a Travel Reporter and Editor for Groove Korea. Zev was also an AmeriCorps Vista- Videographer/Still Photographer for Boston Cares and a Screenplay Reader for Screenplay Readers. From 2015 to 2019, they were a Coverage Writer and Screenplay Reader for Walt Disney Television, where they wrote analyses about story structure, concept, character development, pacing, and dialogue, read screenplays and novels to consider for T.V. development, and communicated a written critique succinctly to the Disney executive team. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Script Writer for Pivo and a Reporter at the Mountain News for Brehm Communications, Inc. Zev currently holds the role of Content Specialist at Genea.

Zev Blumenfeld received their high school diploma from Interlochen Arts Academy in 2008, where they studied Motion Picture Arts. Zev then attended Emerson College from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a B.A in Visual Media Arts.
