Aleksander Kowalski

Aleksander Kowalski, PhD, serves as the Deputy Head of the Compliance Department at VeloBank S.A. since June 2023. Previously, Aleksander held the position of Regulatory Delivery Manager at Credit Suisse from October 2021 to June 2023, where responsibilities included capital adequacy and capital stress testing. Prior roles at Credit Suisse also encompassed the management of a global governance document framework within the Chief Risk Officer's area and collaboration with stakeholders on compliance and regulatory requirements. Earlier experience includes managing compliance risk at Bank Pekao and various roles in compliance assurance and regulatory analysis within investment banking. Aleksander began a legal career with positions at Liberadzki & Partners Law Firm and ILF Consulting Engineers, following initial work at Domanski Zakrzewski Palinka. Academically, Aleksander earned a PhD in Corporate & Capital Markets Law and a Master's degree in Law, both from the University of Warsaw.
