Ionela-Maria Florescu, CPA, MBA

Ionela-Maria Florescu, CPA, MBA has a wealth of experience in the finance and accounting industry. Ionela-Maria has held various roles since 2008, beginning with a Project Manager for Government Contracts at Vigneto Consult. In 2012, they became a Bilingual Financial Advisor for Accounts Receivable at Chartwell, where they were responsible for revenue recognition across Quebec. In 2014, they were a Bilingual Senior Accountant at Dream Unlimited, where they managed the financial performance of a high-valued REIT and improved the month-end accounting process. From 2017 to 2021, they were a Director at Manulife Investment Management, where they led global strategy, business planning, and forecast process for 7 investment funds, identified business fee opportunities, and created and launched a Global Budget/Forecast Manual. Currently, they are the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Maple (getmaple.ca).

Ionela-Maria Florescu is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Fredericton, which they are expected to complete in 2022. Ionela-Maria obtained their Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in 2017, after completing a Performance Management program from 2014 to 2017. Ionela-Maria previously obtained a Bachelor in Economics from the University Aurel Vlaicu in Arad, Romania, with a Major in Finances and Banking from 2006 to 2009. In addition, Ionela-Maria Florescu holds certifications in Influencing through Positive Leadership from Skillsoft (2021) and Chartered Professional Accountant from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) (2017).
