Art Blakemore

Art Blakemore has been shaping student success his entire career. He currently holds the position of Vice Provost of Student Success for Arizona State University, recognized as a leading institution for innovation and student experience.

Art received his PhD from Southern Illinois University and both his MA and BA from the University of Detroit. He has been awarded the Teacher of the Year from ASU’s Department of Economics more than once and holds Editorships for the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Southern Economic Journal, and the Journal of Human Resources. He has been Guest Editor for the Journal of Labor Economics and has previously been appointed to the London School of Economics and Australian National University.

Along with a prestigious list of colleagues in his field, Art has co-authored research on Innovations for Success to Increase Equity, Excellence, and Affordability; Adaptive General Education Programs; and a Redesign of College Algebra.
