Kimberly Hollingsworth, President of Olive-Harvey College, One of the City Colleges of Chicago, has over twenty years of higher education experience and has committed the majority of her career to community college education. Prior to joining the City Colleges of Chicago, she worked in Admissions and Enrollment Management at Eastern Illinois and DePaul University, serving as Cook County Recruiter and Coordinator of Transfer Services respectively.
President Hollingsworth joined City Colleges in 1999. During her tenure at City Colleges, President Hollingsworth has worked in a number of executive administration positions including Dean of Continuing Education, Dean of Student Services, Dean of Instruction, and Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs. In July of 2019, she was appointed as President of Olive-Harvey College. She has worked at four of the seven colleges in the City’s District. President Hollingsworth has participated in and helped lead two Higher Learning Commission visits, has successfully written grant proposals totaling over $10M, has developed strong and sustainable shared governance models while at the City Colleges of Chicago, and is known for her experience in strategic planning and strategic enrollment management.
President Hollingsworth earned her Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Science in Education from Eastern Illinois University. She is currently completing a doctorate in Higher Education Administration at Northern Illinois University. She has a son who is a freshman and member of the baseball team at the University of Oklahoma.
