Rishi Ramraj has worked in various roles in the technology industry since 2004. Rishi began as a Software Developer Internship at Autodesk, where they integrated Maya's 3D view compass in Showcase and the view cube from R&D into Maya. In 2008, they moved to NexJ Systems Inc. as a Professional Services Consultant, implementing CRM tools for financial institutions on the NexJ platform. In 2010, they joined Research In Motion as a Database Applications Developer, maintaining an in-house tool built on Oracle OAS with Python components. In 2011, they became a Server Developer at Polar Mobile, porting cucumberjs to phantomjs and refactoring Django piston to add namespaces for Django models. In 2012, they worked as a Full Stack Web Developer on a personal project to experiment with Python 3 and Postgres. In 2014, they joined Afilias as a Business Intelligence Team Lead, principal engineer for a new, customer facing BI system. In 2019, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Sling, leading the product development team for two projects and spearheading initiatives to reduce technical debt.

Rishi Ramraj attended the University of Waterloo from 2003 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Systems Design Engineering.
