Maria Lara has diverse work experience spanning several industries. Maria started their career as an Emerging Leaders Intern at the Glide Foundation, where they developed a nutrition and health program for underserved populations. Maria then served as a Board Member at the UC Davis School of Medicine's Imani Clinic. Maria later joined Youth Xplosion (YXP) as a Sub-executive Committee Member.

In 2013, Maria began working at the University of California, Davis. Maria held multiple roles, including Undergraduate Researcher in the Taha Lab (Pharmacology and Toxicology) and the Lonnerdol Lab (Pediatric Nutrition). Additionally, they served as a Peer Advisor.

From 2016 to 2018, Maria worked at the UCSF Center for Reproductive Health as a Clinical Research Coordinator. During this time, they implemented the study protocol for the Developmental Epidemiological Study of Children born through Reproductive Technology (DESCRT).

Since 2018, Maria has been with Streamline™, where they started as a Growth Manager. As one of the first employees, they played a crucial role in implementing marketing, sales, customer success, and product roadmap programs. Over time, the product expanded from a single website solution to multiple offerings in several states. Maria has since been promoted to the position of National Director.

Maria Lara completed their education at the University of California, Davis. Maria obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in an unspecified field of study from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, they received a certification as a Full Stack Developer from UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education in July 2021.
