In 2017, Rance took on leadership roles at ATD Dallas, serving as the VP of Special Interest Groups and later becoming the President. During their tenure, they empowered individuals to develop talent, advocated for learning, and facilitated positive organizational change.

In 2022, Rance continued their journey as a Principle Story Designer at the School of Story Design, where they helped learning professionals enhance their skills and elevate the learning function within their organizations. Additionally, they became a CLO Coach at Cognota, providing expert guidance on storytelling integration into training programs.
