Michael M. Santiago

Michael M. Santiago is a seasoned photojournalist with extensive experience in various prestigious roles. Currently serving as a Staff News Photojournalist at Getty Images since July 2020, Michael has also worked as a Freelance Photojournalist with msantiagophotos.com from August 2010 to July 2020, and held the position of Staff Photographer at Pittsburgh Post-Gazette from May 2018 to June 2020. Additional freelance work includes collaborations with notable organizations such as Buzzfeed News and The Pinkerton Foundation. Michael obtained a Master’s Degree in Photography from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, following a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the San Francisco Art Institute and an Associate of Arts in Photography from Rockland Community College.
